Cal Speed Karting Video

Here's a few rough videos. Sorry for the wind noise. I put these together in about 5 minutes. I believe v.2 shows some good racing and v.3 is where Dan chops Jeffrey and removes the front bumper (you'll see it on the track). The wide angle lens makes everything look much further away.

To go out and test/practice with your own kart is $45 for the day. They do have rentals for those who do not own their own kart.

This looks like a lot of fun. Can we organize a group of LA people to go out there for a run?

Sure. When Cal Speed updates their calendar we can find out what days are open testing and rental days. They have 3 different types of karts that widely vary in speed.

Looks like fun. What karts/classes to you typically run in your area?

Out in Boston we are usually on Rotax at F1 Outdoor.

There are about 8 of us right now all running Rotax 125FR with mostly CRG or Birel chasis.

If anyone is in L.V. on 11/21, come out to the RIO Hotel. I have a team running in the Pro Division of the Machismo 500 Lap endurance race. Unfortunately the race starts at 9 pm and goes to about 6 am. Last year Alex Tagliani came in 3rd (ran out of gas). Rumor has it there's a few Indy drivers entered. Should be fun.
