Hamilton seems to have a great attitude right now, considering he just retired from such a great race for him. Apparently it's his first mechanical failure in his F1 career. He has Carbon Industry brakes up front and Brembos in the back. Neither manufacturer can figure out what the problem with the brakes was so it'll be interesting to see what happens. Unfortunately, there's nothing Hamilton could've done. I bet he's actually somewhat glad this season is over for him so he can start looking forward to next year's car, which'll hopefully be a vast improvement over this years.

Sort of a strange drive-thru penalty for Fisichella. Not sure what the reason was. Perhaps speeding during his last pit stop?

BTW, I am really impressed by Kobayashi so far. I think he'll be a huge asset to Toyota in the future assuming Toyota is smart enough to keep him around and in a consistent race seat next season.

Wow, great racing by Kubica and Buemi! Kubica ended up spinning out after going through a few turns side by side with Buemi! I wonder if there will be any investigation on that little maneuver...


On a historical note, this is the last race where refueling will be allowed. After this year, refueling during pitstops will no longer be allowed.

 

It's great to see Kobayashi up in the points now. I hope he can finish there.

 

Button really on a tear to catch Webber right now! He's been making up more than .7 sec per lap for awhile now!
