I think its safe to say they cheated...

the thought just struck me of how could Ferrari sign a new driver(Alonso) involved in something that possibly cost their current driver the championship? I'm sure after finding out Alonso knew, Massa would want nothing to do with him so you could throw team chemistry out the window if that pairing happens.

They're just rumors, we don't know yet. With Kimi's current form, Ferrari would be dumb to drop him. He did win them a world championship too...

Why is anyone surprised?
This sorta stuff will have been going on for years. It's only come to light because a cry baby ex-driver blabbed about it.
There is HUGE money involved in F1. It's a business. In business, people break the rules to get ahead.

I agree.
If teams who aren't in the running for the world championship are doing this kind of thing, imagine what the front runners have been up to.
Piquet Snr is a loser, anyone who shit-cans other drivers, like he did, has no credibility in my book.

This is big news for sure, and I wouldn't expect Renault to be around next year in F1. I'm sure stuff like this does happen often in F1, we just don't hear about it. What about when Schumacher crashed on the last turn during qualifying in Monaco a few years ago? Drivers and teams will go a long way to get ahead in the sport.
