I'm not sure as I haven't read the official FIA Formula 1 rulebook but I'd assume that crashing on purpose in an attempt to change the outcome of the race would just generally be frowned upon.

I was just thinking about something on this subject.

What if Piquet was told to crash, but Alonso didn't win? Would we be here right now?

And it is a rule in the FIA rulebook. You're engaging in an act to fix the outcome of a race. Look for it under "Team Orders".
