Perhaps of more limited interest, but footage from a 1985 IMSA race at Road Atlanta. Before Don Panoz's renovations, the back straight had a fearsome "dip" just before the bridge, sometimes called "Gravity Gulch." Spectators were often afraid to watch from this vantage point, given the high speeds, the difficulty of that portion of the track, and the primitive protection afforded them. Of course, it's a chicane now, but I was fortunate enough to go to a few races there as a (young) kid and see the old version of the track.
