This is one hell of a game of brinksmanship going on here. Is Max actually crazy enough to deny the "invalid" conditional entries, Force India has now flinched giving Max additional leverage, etc.

But I bet if you looked into it Williams and Force India had beefs with the FOTA that had nothing to do with Max.

Absolutely. Unfortunately, their actions are playing into Max's hand. He'll have enough new teams willing to play by his rules to field a 10 car grid (at least) by June 12th and cast FOTA to the winds in the process.

If this wasn't the case, Max would have never started this fight.

Couldn't agree more, though in the same breath I am torn by this situation. I love the fact that new teams are now presented with an opportunity to participate in the pinnacle of motorsport racing. New teams, new ideas, new technologies, etc. I just wish it didn't take such an all or nothing approach from the leadership to make it happen.
