Woah! I certainly wasn't expecting to get 905 points! Good enough to bring me from 13th back up to 10th! It's funny because although I tied Gobbles, he did it with 5 drivers whereas I had 6.

It's pretty evident that favoring quantity over quality is the way to get the most points, furthermore you can pretty much ignore the budget cap by holding drivers, especially if you had picked either or both Brawn drivers during Melbourne.

I finished 1-2-3-4 and was still 114 off the leading score.

That seems the way to go.. But if you didn't go that way to begin with it is almost impossible to shift to it at this time unless you want all the worst drivers based on their races this season. If you took this approach up front you would have taken drivers as you mentioned that have increased in value now and your in a good place to ride it out.

I was going to try and refute that claim but even with only 7 of his 9 drivers finishing the race, Tommy Bahama was only 10 pts off the lead. While most of TB's drivers had pretty bad finishes (if they finished at all), he did have Massa, Webber, and Alonso on his team. The rest of the drivers essentially just contributed lap points.
