Pit Stop Poll - How Has The Fantasy League Affected Your F1 Season?

Here is a poll I have been thinking of doing for a few weeks now.

How has the Fantasy league affected the way you are following the 2009 F1 season?

I find that while it makes me pay a lot more attention, it causes me to form some very odd allegiences with teams I normally don't root for. I have even been rooting for Alonso - which I have never done before. At the same time, it has been really fun tracking driver values and watching how the market for the drivers changes.

I think we will all agree that it has made us much more aware of what is going on across the F1 world. Hell, I even know what Adrian Sutil had for lunch yesterday!

Please vote in the poll only if you are a participant in the league. Also, please don't base your vote on how you are performing in the league. Thanks!!

All the great posts in here have definitely enhanced the amount in which I've been enjoying all the racing action so far. I love checking in here daily to see what's new. Maybe I'll even start a few threads in here soon!

I have to agree with Dana. Typically, I would just watch the race, maybe qualifying, but definitely not the practice sessions. And I would only be rooting for McLaren. Participating in the fantasy league has definitely caused me to pay MUCH more attention to other teams, drivers, past performances, the driver value system, etc.

I would also like to mention that after watching the race while participating in the banter thread, I don't think I could go back to watching the race without it. Great idea Dana!

In the past, I would usually just skip the practice sessions and qualifying (and just look at the standings online later). Now, I watch it all haha

The fantasy league has definitely made it more interesting. I even check it from my cell phone when I'm on the move lol It's fun rooting for more than one team, while paying even More attention to who is using what *tires, KERS, etc.)

As much as I would love to have Hamilton on my team he just won't cut it this season Hopefully next year he'll have a car that is up to par.

I think it's great being part of a fantasy league of enthusiasts where we can have the banter as well. There are plenty of anonymous fantasy sporting leagues, the link to TS is the key for me.

An idea for a future enhancement to the Fantasy League is to have two teams, one as it stands today, another where you lock in your prediction at the start of the year and can't change it.

BTW does anyone participate in the ESPN Star Sport fantasy league? Seems to be much more in depth
