Banning them from races is bad. That should have happened after spygate.

But like I said in the other thread. Take away their constructors' points. Dock some points. Fine them. Move on.

It's simple.

^^I agree dock some of their points and be done with it. I see where Horner's coming from, but not having McLaren at Monaco would be extremely counter productive. With Merecedes already hinting that it may leave F1 the WMSC would only be making things worse.

the truth is - as the other members mentioned- banning hami from racing would be punishment to us viewers.. deduct the points and fine them,, that should be more than enough

Monaco wouldn't be the same without Hamilton. Fining him and taking some constructors points away seems fair to me.

You just can't take Hamilton out of the race, if they did it would almost seem personal on the FIA's part. Fine them, take points, whatever. But it was a team mistake, not just his. Am very interested to see how this all turns out.

I don't think any of this will affect Lewis' on track performance. We'll see how this ordeal has affects him at the end of the season.

I lost a tiny bit of respect for Lewis when he came out and said that he contemplated leaving F1 over this incident. He claimed it was because he couldn't bear the constant media drubbing he was forced to take. But he has no problem basking in their praise. You have to be able to handle it both ways. I think he is learning that. Thank goodness he has stopped talking about "almost quitting." He wasn't gonna quit. He has about $30 million reasons why he won't quit and a high maintenance GF that will keep him hopping.
