No. All Mormon young men are asked to serve a 2-year mission to wherever they want to send you. You have little or no input into where you are called. You spend all of your time teaching people about the Mormon church and doing service for the local members of the Church.

It grows you up in a hurry I can tell you that. I had a great experience on my mission.
