Thanks. I'm bummed I missed the start of the race. That's what I get for getting Hoff'ed last night....

Actually, Jorg Bergmeister might be a good comparison if you put them both in the same car.

The Audi pulled the pole sitting Acura before the first turn at the start of the race. The Acura doesn't have enough HP to compete with the diesels at Sebring. It is still quite an accomplishment to qualify on the pole.

The Acura special that Speed has been playing lately last night about the LMP1 got me all excited to see it do well. Too bad that's not quite the case.

If you go to American Le Mans Series - Welcome Home and click on the Paddock Pass tab then live timing and scoring on the right it shows all positions and lap times, it's a great way of keeping track of what's going on, especially during commercials.

I watched that special a few times myself. The Acura people are saying that they have built a car around superior grip. it will be interesting to see if that design philosophy translates into success into tracks that favor grip over hp like Laguna Seca and Long Beach.

I am having a hard time figuring out what this "GreenX" challenge is all about. Is it based on mileage/fuel economy? If so, the diesels are getting around 5 mpg, and the Ferrari's are getting less than 2 mpg!!!!!

Yeah, but the Corvettes are probably getting around 3 mpg. Actually I think it has more to do with carbon footprints than it does with just focusing on mpg. The Corvettes are using that cellulosic ethanol so that will probably help them out the most, even if it doesn't help improve mpg. The Corvettes won the first Green Challenge at Petit Le Mans last year.
