This is pure stupidity.

 

I think wins should pull more weight... Not sure about it being based on wins alone..

Whew all these changes... It will be a different year and I have a feeling several of us may be surprised with the outcome of the season... It is hard to predict how all the changes will affect each team...

 

While I'm not liking the change to the points/wins system, at least it means that Ferrari can NEVER EVER complain of things being unfair ever again (not that they had much of a leg to stand on imo when they did complain recently).

I'm a big fan of the optional budget cap. This could be the reason Brawn GP is doing so well in testing. Actually, the budget cap is the single best rule the FIA has put in place in close to a decade, imo. This'll keep the racing closer and give the younger and less-established teams a real shot at keeping up with the big dogs.

 

i like the idea of the driver with the most wins getting the title and still rewarding the builder for consistency with the constructors cup based on points
