I was at Le Mans in 2007, you can actually drive on (part of) the Mulsanne straight as it's usually just a normal road and they only use it for the 24 hr race AFAIK. That pottery you see at 0:43 on the left side of the road is still there. Like 20 feet from the race track. Can you imagine sitting in your front yard and this thing is blasting by at well over 300 km/h? Mental.

Iv'e sat in and fired up a 962 street car. You would not want to drive that on the street for any length of time.
