The BMW looks the worst, I am not feeling that stubby little wing at all.

I shocked that F1, of all the racing series out there, decided to go "retro". I actually kinda liked the "dumbo ears" i.e. Honda and how all the other teams added the extraneous winglets. That being said, if the BMW didn't have that stubby little wing on the back, I think it would actually look sorta cool. Any idea what the McLaren car will look like for '09?

Also, did anyone notice that the Ferrari seems to look asymmetrical? Check the bodywork by the rear wheels.

Looking at the BMW I think it will look a lot different and more integrated by the type the '09 season comes around. Keep in mind that they are having to test a variety of components from the new slicks to the KERS system. I think for now BMW is just trying to simulate the new aero levels in the simplest way possible to get some telemetry. There is no way they are going to roll out the 09 with the simple shopping cart wings they have on their now. The aero dynamicists will have maximized everything they can while conforming to the regs and you'll see a better (aesthetic looking) package.

The other cars like the Renault and Ferrari are not running '09 spec for sure because from my understanding two tiered front wings and winglets hanging off the body are banned for the new season.

They look way too much like toys...especially the BMW.

Did Bernie make F1 move this way? Can't leave well enough alone...

It looks like those little mini cars people Photoshop.

I loved the idea of going back to no stupid ( imo ) winglets and all the added crap, and jut keeping the cars simple. Like the good old days that Zorro posted.

But the execution is certainly left alot to be desired.
