What channel is it on in the states? Speed? I don't think I've ever seen any coverage of it aside from old videos on youtube.

Well for a while it was on Speed at weird times and when in college you are awake at weird times so I was able to see it. I haven't seen a race in a while so maybe it was dropped...
I wish we could get the DTM races over here.

Yeah, I'm still in college so that was part of the reason I was able to catch the practices for this F1 race. I commend ajs887 for his commitment to the ladies and going out. Hopefully he got some tail! I stayed in last night expecting to get up at the butt crack of dawn to watch the race, not realizing it was on last night. I'm glad I was able to still catch the last 2/3 of that comedy of events tho! I couldn't imagine a girl being to pleased with me if I woke her up at 6:30am when we're both hungover so I can scream at the TV during an F1 race...

haha my girlfried makes fun of me for doing it. She's always like I can't believe you stay up at these crazy hours to watch a race. DVR is my best friend usually. This weeks race is on at 3 for me so I'm not sure I'll be up for that one. Maybe tho.

I don't blame you. I stumbled across some great footage from 1992 with Sierra Cosworths racing R32 GT-Rs at Bathurst yesterday. It's a beautiful track!
I won't ask you if you are rooting for Ferrari or McLaren in F1 because the real question is: are you a Ford or a Holden fan?

Bathurst is a stunning track. Crazy elevation changes that you can only appreciate when you get there.
There have been some EPIC battles at Bathurst.
There is a blind corner over a crest at Mcphillamy Park which unfortunately claimed the life of a driver last year ( A kiwi, Mark Porter ) and nearly claimed a life again this year in the exact same circumstance.
This years.

This was another big impact. Broke his ankle ( the other ankle from the one he broke at Bathurst 2 years ago in a similar situation! ) And again a Kiwi!

The Bathurst 1000 weekend ( 1x year ) itself sh*ts all over F1, but the series in general, the V8 Supercars doesn't touch F1.
Still both enjoyable, but for different reasons.
