Is Eccelstone For Real?

I almost can't believe he is this idiotic. Sorry, but I just don't like the man and think he is a disgrace to motorsports.

pitpass - the latest, hottest F1 news

Regarding the "vote of confidence" given to Max Mosley, the numbers are quite interesting.

There are 222 countries that belong to the FIA. Each country gets one vote. No kind of proportional representation exists. So, a country that has only a few hundred members has as much power as those that have several million. Africa, for example, has a total of 36 votes in the FIA General Assembly - the USA only had 1.

To put it another way, clubs representing 86% of FIA membership wished Mosley to resign - but that 86% only had 13% of the votes. Now thats the kind of democracy even Obama could get behind!

Whilst that is a bit idiotic.

F1 wouldn't be what it is today without Bernie. He had balls when the sport needed balls, and he pulled it off. Full credit to him.

And his daughters are banging.
