Cool Some photos of my friend Keith's car (Mini Batmobile!)

How I'm not the moderator for this section of the forum is beyond me! It seems like I own this forum because I'm the only avid poster. lol What can I say, I keep busy!

Anyway, I took some photos of my good friend’s car the other day. I finally got around to investing in a strobe so needless to say, I’m stoked!

It gave me a reason to experiment with my new lighting while borrowing my buddy's massive soft box. I know where my next investment is going.

Trying to shoot a matchbox sized car in a massive hangar doesn’t seem too hard, right?

Wrong on so many levels. Luckily it wasn’t a serious shoot, more of a seminar if anything. I will be investing in a softbox, backdrops, and a backdrop stand in the very near future.

Once I have those in hand I will set up another shoot similar to this without the distractions of airplanes and helicopters in the background.

Also, for the record, please save all of the "OMG! You have oober halos in your photos!" I know... I put them there. Trust me, the PP on these photos is massive, like I stated, so many distractions. Thanks.

All the rest of my photos can be found here in my gallery:

Enjoy!

Thanks for viewing!

Love the softbox. Have you made prints of the top 4 shots yet? I can't see the lines of the car, but I think it's due to my POS work LCD. I'm pretty sure you are at that level that it wouldn't slip by you.

Hmph. The batmobile I saw had a motorcycle that detached (and missiles).

All I see in those photographs is a really well-lit and carefully composed, good-looking BMW.

Honestly, I really don't think the lines are there in those particular photos.

The PP that went into these is ridiculous. It was my first time using true lighting other than external hot shoe flash.

The entire shoot was just set up horribly in every possible dimension. I contemplated even posted these but figured what the hell. Maybe someone will get something out of them.

I learned a hell of a lot. Main lesson learned: Take your time to setup the entire scene correctly first.

I would have saved myself many hours of PP that just wasn't worth it.

So yeah, your monitor isn't really that bad. My photography is. If you can't laugh at yourself then who can you laugh at? :P
