Question Photography newbie need help.

Ok so I have a Canon SD750 digital camera, I know its not nearly as advanced and nice as probably everyone else's cameras but I was wondering if I could get some advice. I'm pretty much a point and shoot guy n so far it has worked out quite well for me, I get great (in my point of view) pics of people / cars etc. I was wondering if anyone who had knowledge of Canon cameras (specifically the SD series) had any advice on what settings etc. to use for people / cars. I'd like to get some rolling shots of my car n things. Any and all basic / beginner info. would be great for a noob like me . I don't think i'm ever going to become a great photographer but I would like to learn from the knowledge n wisdom of the experts on the board so I can take even better pics then I currently am able to do with my "point and shoot skills"

Thanks in advance for any help I receive.
