Nikon D50 Digital SLR Camera (Body Only)

So I have a friend who is willing to let his D50 go for $300.oo, Is it a good deal or no? keep in mind its body only, if not then what would you recommend me doing, if i did buy the D50 which would be a good lens.

I think you can snag a D70 for around that price, cant you? Then again, you know your friend, and it's an easy transaction. Just remember, that $300 investment will turn into $1,000 very quickly with decent glass, sticks, etc. Beware!

It's actually a great beginner camera and $300 isn't bad. I typically see ones in great shape go for about $400+ and used and abused examples going for about $350. Lenses, obviously, will cost you quite a bit more.
