Cool photos: Destroying a cache of WMD material
This could go in the off topic forum too... Simply because the press loves to say that there were no WMD's in Iraq, and that is a total fallacy. WMD material was all over the place, then and now.
At any rate, here is some shots of a Special Forces detachment destroying a ten ton cache of WMD material. This stuff was hidden near a village, and was used to terrify the local populace. Great story behind that village standing up to the thugs that were using it, but thats another post...
These shots were taking from a 4th ACR Blackhawk circling the area while the SF detachment did their thing.

WMD materials have been found ever since we went back into that country. It is just that the press was looking for boxes that were neatly marked as "WMD". chem/bio weapons aren't stored that way. They cannot be stored in a ready to use fashion because they degrade.
A dash of fertilizer, potassium choride, and aluminium powder is a WMD. Throw in some bio agent for good measure, and ya have a nice cocktail.
We've found caches of 155 sarin artillery shells. One shell is enough to cause hell in a large city. We found hundreds.
We found over a thousand tons of ammonium nitrate. Mobile labs.
Our recon guys were forced to watch as the Russians helped Iraqi's moves WMD materials and weaponry just over the border into Syria. Guess who ran cover? The UN, and the people responsible for stockpiling Iraq, and for running the food for oil scam: France, Russia, and Germany.
Thats the short version...
