Allure of the Automobile - High Museum Atlanta
Last night, my wife and I were invited to a private event at Atlanta's High Museum, prior to the opening of the "Allure of the Automobile" event.
Upon walking into the door, the first thing you see is one of four Lenticular Panamera's. This car is completely covered in photographs of the car on the road.
You will have to forgive the quality of the pictures, I had only my Blackberry to use. And that little blackberry literally gave up operating as I took the last shot of a lethal looking Corvette String Ray. Typically, camera's are not allowed at the Museum, so I did not bother to take my D80. However, since this was a private event, I was informed that photos were allowed.
I do have 5 tickets, for anyone that is in Atlanta, or wants to come into town. I'd love to take anyone that wants to go.
Enjoy!
This is a Panamera that is completely covered with holographic photographs of the car on the road. It is wild to say the least.

My wife was trying to run from the camera, and she almost got away with it.

A stunning 1953 Porsche 550
I took the following pics with my Blackberry at the Allure of the Automobile event at the High Museum in Atlanta.

Porsche Type 64: If I remember correctly, this is either the last surviving, or one of two surviving post WW2.

MB 540K Special-Roadster: Apparently this one has quite the history, having belonged to a Duchess that became destitute. She was found dead, clinging to this car.

I got in trouble for taking this shot because my wife is not feeling anywhere near 100%, and was in no mood to have her picture taken. None the less, this was her favorite car of the event, and she became engrossed in the audio history of it.
