Camera Bags and cases for DSLR (Canon Rebel T1i)
Hello,
I just recently got a Canon EOS 500D/Rebel T1i and I wanted to know what some of the photographers here recommend for cases. I would like to carry the body and 2 lenses (for now) as well as some accessories. What is the best make?
Also, is there anything similar to this (Canon soft case Buy Canon EH19-L Semi-Hard Case for EOS 450D online at JohnLewis.com) that can take the body with a 28-135 mm lens on it (much beigger than the 18-55 that the case in the link fits)
Thanks

From the Kat site what I like/suits my need most is the DC line...Probably going to get the DC-441 for now
Anyone else with input? Time constraint is that I need to buy and have this delivered before next Thursday (so 9 days)
Thanks

Probably too big for your needs (might even be too big for my needs) but I just got this one on Friday:
Tamrac Expedition 7x

^^^ That Tamrac is awesome.
I actually have the model above that particular one if you can believe it. The 8x.
It's absolutely ridiculously huge.
I carry my:
Mark III
50D
100-400mm
70-200mm
24-70mm
10-22mm
50mm
My laptop and about a 100 other misc. items in it. It's absurd. I love it.

Yeah, I had a chance to pick up the Expedition 8x but didn't need that kind of space and figured I'd break my back if I actually loaded it up all the way.
I've got my:
D200 w/grip
Tokina 400 f/5.6
80-200 f/2.8
50 f/1.4
35 f/1.8
Tamron 19-35
Sigma 10-20
SB600 Speedlight
filters, batteries, memory cards, cleaning stuff, plus my Feisol tripod and I can fit my laptop in there as well with some room to spare.
Pretty incredible pack, imo.

I'm in the same boat, just picked up a T1i and want something to carry the body, kit lens (18-55), and in the future possibly a 50mm prime and a 24-200mm or something, plus a laptop.
Can the Kata 3n1 10 carry a laptop? It would probably makes sense for me to get a back that doubles as a camera bag/laptop case so I don't need to carry both when I travel.
Edit: This looks like it meets my needs perfectly (the smaller 466 apparently doesn't actually fit a 15" laptop): http://www.amazon.com/Kata-KT-DR-467...4322066&sr=1-2

Choosing is tougher than I thought!
I narrowed it down to two choices: Tamrac Explorer 400 or Kata DC-443 (both roughly same size, price and similar features including: rain cover and a slot to slide over a carry-on luggage handle) - key thing is I want it high enough to fit camera with 28-135 (5") lens attached (both of these work)

Depends on how much stuff you want to carry with you, and what you plan on doing.....I picked up a Lowepro Slingshot 100AW (the AW is for the all-weather cover). It is the smallest of the Slingshot models. It has enough room for the camera, and a flash and one extra lens, plus two pockets for miscellaneous stuff. I chose this because I needed something that would be good for travelling.
