What lens (or lenses) did you use during the event? one specifically for exterior vs. interior?

( I made the jump into the DSLR world and picked up a 20D for a steal of a price! I know your lenses wont work with my body, but it would be nice to see what size I should be looking for etc.)

First off, congrats on your first DSLR purchase! The 20D is a little long in the tooth (then again, so is my D200) but it's a solid camera for sure.

As for lenses, I mostly used my 35mm f/1.8 and my Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6. I also used my 50mm f/1.4 for a handful of shots. Those 3 lenses are my default "car show" lenses.

Thanks, although I know the 20D was released almost 5 years ago, this one is was only purchased 2 and a half years ago as a leftover. It also only has 21XX actuations, and only 100 since it's last profesional lens cleaning. I also found a bunch of old lenses from when my mom was big into photography with her Canon SLR so that made the jump to Canon easy. Although they lack auto focus and IS, the price of them (along with a speedlite flash) tripped my student mind into no brainer mode. Finally the 20D was only $310 CDN. For a total output of $350 I have a 20D, 18-35 f/2.8, 55-200 f/4, external flash, and 8 gb extremeIII CF card.

The 20D also looked better on paper than a new Rebel etc. because of the 5fps which appeals to me because I will be shooting friends wake/skateboarding as well.
