price no option.


my wife wants a small digital camera for her purse. (forgot her bday, i was super sick w/ flu)
She wants a REALLY REALLY good picture similar to my Canon XTi

Anything by Nikon, you can get a 12 mp camera for a few hundred now thats quite compact, its also the best of their range before the DSLR camera's.

Casio EX-Z1200 will be PERFECT. It's ultra small and takes great movies too.

I'll throw my 2cents in. the best Canon SD series there is these days.

another +1 on the canon

they are consistently the best compact manufacturer out there in both feature sets and image quality

The Leica C-Lux 2 is a great compact camera, 7 Megapixel.

Sony's Cybershot gear is good I agree, I've had some experience with them in the past. Great camera.
