These next few batches will be some images from my various visits to Afghanistan with the US State Dept INL Air Wing and also flights with the 101st Airborne while in Kandahar.

All the green fields with the flowers in are poppies and they are harvested for the opium that is sold to support the Taliban. The INL Air Wing provide the air support for the ground guys as they cut and crush the poppy fields. While there we had the distinction of having the first RPG fired at a State Dept helicopter fired at us.

Was interesting times in Afghanistan.

If you know, and can talk about it: The Hind on page one, know anything about who did the upgrades to weapons and avionics? And are the UH-1's contractors? I know DynCorp use them, but have only seen them with a grey colourscheme.
