Whattttt you should never have to pay for credentials. That's what they are, credentials - you're an accredited source.

You're on your own in regards to credentials. They are always hit or miss, they will most likely ask for past references that you've done work for be it magazines / websites / E-Magazines etc.

That's just to ensure you are legit and you're not just applying for credentials for no reason other than your own enjoyment. Somehow, this happens A LOT still.

There were "photographers" at St. Pete with Canon Rebels and kit lenses shooting track side - really? Seriously? They do a great job of pissing off everyone who is actually there for a source and has to compete for photo spots with them.

That is pretty much the main concern for the people who give out credentials, give them a reason to think you're NOT like these people.

Other than that, I'd sign up ASAP. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Good luck!

I thought about that AFTER I posted it.

I'm a creature of habit. I think photos, I post them in the photography section. It makes sense to me.

Feel free to move the thread to the Pit Stop if you can! I was going to do it myself but I don't think I have the power to do so.

Thanks for the advice. I'm tempted to put Teamspeed as one of my references as I'm sure DJ can vouch for me. I know that track pretty well and I'm sure I can shoot with the best of 'em there. I'll be going there in about a month hopefully to shoot some vintage racing like I did last year too.
