A few amazing pics from the Italian Alps

Lifted from another board:

The first 2 photos were taken on the Assietta alpine ridge route from Susa to Sestriere, about 60km long, mostly unsurfaced, and rising to 2566m.
The 3rd photo was taken at the Colle del Sommeille.
The 4th pic is from colle dell'Assietta again.

Wow! Looks more like Himalaya than Italy.

Also, it requires cojones to bring a British car to a place that deserted . . .

Ha! In all honesty I'm surprised the Gay-Lander made it back apparently.

But look on the bright side: if it does indeed brake down just throw it in neutral and gravity will ensure you'll end up right where you came from.

Stop being so friendly when I'm semi-insulting you, you jerk!

I would be too scared to drive those roads in a FREELANDER out of all things...

I already called you a fat, pale Norwegian today. Besides, it's okay to insult GheyLanders; us proper LaRo drivers do it all the time too.

Plus, I figured I'd take it a little easy on you after reading this story you so kindly shared with me:

Have a nice trip

In all fairness though, the Freelander 2 is the best small SUV currently for sale no contest.
