Wild Military photo
this is a shot of a night fire contest at Ft. Lee VA, from the "Best Warrior" competition. This particular shot is the result of this soldiers night time call for fire. He landed lots of artillery love on target. Imagine being on the bad end of that stuff.
The point of the contest is to seek out the most proficient non-commissioned, and commissioned combat arms soldier.

Thats just a wrath of god type shot... I've called for fire a lot, but its never looked that cool! Especially those short rounds... 
Ever been in the area of a newbie 4 deuce mortar boy thats a mil off? That tends to make the service exit pucker then disappear.
