Damn, just when I install two HD video cameras (forward and rear facing), some guy has to have 3!!!! I guess that's how this mod thing goes, back to work for me.

Seriously modded R8, I hope to see some of that footage, it should be epic.

But you're doing it wrong. They're not supposed to be facing you. While you are a tasty dish, you're not that good looking, Doc.

That infrasonic pulse generator had me intrigued. I guess the military has been using them for a while now because the sound waves are at a lower frequency than what can be heard by the human ear but the waves instill a sense of anxiety, paranoia, and fear. These waves are typically lower than 17 Hz so it's almost like flirting with the theoretical "brown noise". Anyway, I'm not sure what purpose it serves on a rally car such as this other than silently intimidating other drivers in front of them, but it's some pretty high-tech shit!

Even though it's the least technical aspect of the car, that exhaust sounds just incredible!

Apparently notwithstanding all of the technology in the car, the co-driver was arrested while driving it (According to Alex)

The system is used to augment sirens; basically, it's designed to grab the attention of drivers who might not hear the sirens. Numerous police departments have been investing in them as of late.

Cool

That R8 is sick! The technology on this car would benefit anyone that does Rally's or Run's. If only it was the V10 version, but still I'm sure the front generator machine rattles/shakes/vibrates cars in front of them so they are aware of their presence from the rear (no pun intended). Texas patrol cars have this new technology and it helps people realize there is a cop car pulling them over even with their sirens and lights on.

Such a clean install and looks like great fun for any rally-goer... hell I could think of a few uses in my daily routine that would put that PA to good use!
