Beautiful for sure.. BUT, what is it's use going to be mainly for? Will you need the bigger 4 door car? Manual or auto? Lot's of questions you need to ask yourself.

It's got the V8, beautiful inside and out, awd but still a coupe if you needed to carry people comfortably. Go for a M5

It may be a winner for you then, personally I would opt for the M3 , but if you need the AWD its a no brainer!

I like the S5 a lot. Got a chance to drive one when a friend of mine got to use a dealer's tester for the afternoon (he ended up placing an order for delivery this spring). I would personally want to compare it to the M3 when it comes out. That being said the availability and potential markups for the M3 may mean you would have to wait a while.

Bottom line the S5 would be an excellent choice. Other than the M and the RS5 whenever that comes out, I can't think of a better daily driver.

No-brainer! Get it in Ibis white and you'd have to elbow your way through crowds of women.

Got any pics of your former A8? Lovin' them.

the m3 is a good step up $. When/if the RS5 comes out that would be a more fair comparison.

It's somewhat fast (4.9 0-60). Feels faster than the s4, not as fast as the RS4. I drive a 911 which is faster. Still for a daily driver it moves and sounds awesome.

just do it. it's a fantastic car. biggest problem you will have is finding one. right now if you call AoA they'll tell you 6mo from order to delivery. they had some supply issues that they worked out recently, but there is a major backlog of orders from the last few months. BTW, have you driven it yet? if not, that's the first thing I would do.
