The new Audi Q7 is based on the platform of the VW Group MLB evo. This allowed reducing vehicle weight by almost 400kg due to intensive use of aluminum and composite materials.

The engine range includes 3.0 and 4.0 TFSI plus benzinarele traditional 3.0 TDI. Representatives of media publications have managed to find that Audi is planning to give up version V12 500 horsepower and customers a hybrid version. Rather, two hybrid versions - the first consisting of an electric motor and a petrol engine, and the second from the same electric motor and a diesel engine. Audi Q7 hybrid will be able to travel 30 km solely on electric propulsion.
