but in this case Chris is "chineese" (driving Audi's second sportiest model).

and as for impressions once you see the R8, the first time it came up in my rear view mirror, I initially thought it was a Vette with pipes...(albeit it was at night)

Mark---Body kit.

Wondered that too, it's impossible to see the engine through the rear windscreen. Is it just that it has a few visual parts different from the standard one?

[QUOTE=993fan;105696]Hey Elliot, nobody really cares if you like the R8 or not. Everything is subjective.

This is the best one... Dude, let's not get into affordable. All the non-n00bs here know I've gone through a bunch of cars, including costlier ones than the RS4. Let's just say the RS4 was what I was interested in a year ago and meets my needs. Now the TT is #1 on my radar (it was on my bedroom wall since the 1970s).
As for the GT-R, I've NEVER liked how it looks, but I appreciate fully how well it performs, hence my interest in it. The V-Spec should be a monster, but Nissan's handling of the sales has left a VERY bad taste in my mouth.
Not everyone here likes every car that gets posted. Re-read my first post in this thread. I said it's a shame that it's still ugly. FWIW, I like the V12 TDI one much more.

I think the GT-R is strikingly ugly.

Wow all this over an opinion of whether or not a car looks good. I'd hate to see you guys argue over a chick.
To each his own. I personally like the R8, and I LOVE the red V-12 TDI R8. Does that mean I have bad taste? <-Chris
I happen to really enjoy the looks of the car and find it extremely interesting. It might or might not look great in 10 years, only time will tell; but for now it looks awesome, and if I were to get one, I would only have it for a short while anyways.
No need to get defensive on this board. Anyways. Have fun!
