I would rather go with the S5 as well, do a tune to it and save the money.

It's 1800kg so if you track your cars I would pass otherwise it's a great street car.

I've seen the math, and it is not much cheaper in the end and then are are still stuck with just an S5 with potential warranty issues that is tougher to sell and has no limited production appeal. But hey, go with what works for you....

I really do like the asthetics of the car myself, the RS5 is a high revving V8 from the new R8, not even comparable to the V6 SC in the S5......and who cares about money I thought everyone on TS was rich anyways? :troll:

I'm thinking tune it and enjoy the manual gear box, sadly the RS5 lacks that.

I'm in the minority, but I really liked the time I spent driving the RS5. I wouldn't track it, but for a DD, it's hard to beat, esp. now with the B&O sound, Google nav, etc. If I wasn't looking for a car more appropriate for hauling around my baby and her stuff, I'd already have one. Suzuka Gray w/titanium package, please.
