On new MY2012 v10 Spyders sitting unsold at US dealers, you are likely to see $20K off MSRP from many of the US dealers. And perhaps more if you are a particular good negotiator! I have heard of $35K off on the super expensive '12 gt models! Problem now for you is that the lowest priced new '12 v10 Spyder (that I could find in the web) had a MSRP of over $172K! So you are limited to the specs already ordered & delivered to dealers, some which had all sort of expensive options you may not want.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with ordering a new MY2014! Unlike some others that have commented in the forums, I find the new front & rear lights of the revised R8 attractive. The v10 Plus, in particular, has many advantages for the street over the '12 gt v10 and the standard v10. But I think you want manual, no?

I have not seen yet my 'Lava Gray' R8 Spyder in person! It is scheduled to arrive in the West Coast in early February.

Yeah...I have some specific wants and dislikes and it's hard finding a fit with a lightly used 2011 or a new 2012 Spyder.

Not too interested in the V10 Plus since I am committed to a MT Spyder...otherwise I'll keep my TT-S!

Let me know what you think if the lava gray and post pics when u get it!

You were right. You will have no luck finding that exact combination! You will need to custom order a MY2014 R8!

I hear you. That was my problem with the 2007 MB CL600 that I needed to sell and found it difficult to place since March of 2012. That is what made my deal so perfect - the MB dealer that I originally purchased the CL600 took this '11 R8 Spyder in trade. The stars all aligned just right and I got this deal done! Good luck with the sale or trade with your 911 TT-S! Give Garrett a call at Audi Atlanta and see what he can do for you!
