14 Minutes Of Music & Good Looks From The New Audi R8

Last week Audi made it known to the world that it has made its R8 high-performance sports car even more attractive and dynamic, and lucky for us has released this intoxicating driving footage video of the new spyder, sounding as good as ever. Featuring a totally new 7-speed S-tronic, LED headlights and the new rear indicator lights with dynamicized display standard, she looks as good as she sounds.

The overhauled Audi R8 will roll off the line to European customers at the end of the year. The base price is EUR 113,500 for the V8 Coupé, and EUR 124,800 for the Spyder. The V10 variants are listed at EUR 154,600 and EUR 165,900 respectively, while the R8 V10 plus costs EUR 173,200.

I love the R8 but somehow I have the feeling that most mortals that own one will never be able to hear that sound themselves unless they were also hearing the sound of a siren behind them. Test tracks are great for these demonstrations but again I have never been able to get on one without a bunch of clowns like me playing Mario Andretti for the day. But its nice to see someone was enjoying the full potential of the car.
