So what is Satin Guard? One thing it is not - vinyl. Satin Guard is a form of paint protection film like the conventional "clear bra". We have received some queries that showed some confusion here about this car. This is a 2012 R8 GT in Suzuka Grey. The paint scheme on this car is matte from the factory. Since applying a "clear bra" to the car would change the matte effect to gloss, it would negate the effect of the matte paint from the factory. So we applied Satin Guard onto the entire car instead. It is a translucent satin finished paint protection film that will protect the paint like clear bra, but give off a very unique dual finish. In ambient lighting, it will look mattish and in direct sunlight satin metallic flakes will show right through that actually looks significantly better than the factory finish.

 

I am sure it is an impressive car and you guys do a spot on job on these full body protection applications. It just looks like its primer and needs to go to the paint booth.
