Audi teases a restyled R8

5 years, 6 models, 1 milestone in the history of design and sportscar evolution: the legendary Audi R8 celebrates its fifth birthday.

While we only get to see a glimpse of the car, it will likely feature revised bumpers and restyled lighting units.

The 4.2-liter V8 engine will reportedly be upgraded to produce 450 PS (331 kW / 444 hp). Likewise, the 5.2-liter V10 is expected to be bumped up to 540 PS (397 kW / 533 hp). Rumors have also suggested the R-tronic transmission could be replaced by a seven-speed S-tronic gearbox.

Cool, looking forward to it. I love the R8 as well. It is such a great combination of good looks, daily driving ability, and fun.

LOL looking the the picture, my initial guess is same over all styling with new front grill and headlights (probably a deviation of new Audi A6/A8 front)

 

regardless if its minor it does need a facelift...when the A4 headlights look cooler the the R8s...somethings not right lol...
