2012 Audi S5 at the ring

Our Teamspeed spies have snagged the first shots that show the new upgraded S5 undisguised and with its new taillights. These include new LED strips similar to the new A7 Sportback's rear look. We also have a shot of the new S5 with its brake lights on. The same upgrades will be expected on the new editions of the Audi A5 Cabrio and the A5 Sportback. Basically more of the same. Stay tuned for more updates soon.

 

Interesting. I would guess this could be part of the reason we won't get the RS5 until the 2013 model year. The upside is that we'll get the facelifted version.

If they ever bring us the RS6 again, I would do that over the RS5... But I've driven the RS5 and I'm HOOKED!

 

I thought the RS5 is due for Fall this year?

 

I read on a european forum that they stopped the RS5 production due to a facelift coming out soon.

Who knows, but from what i've read, the facelift will be codenamed B9 instead of B8.

Also, it is rumored that the 2012 S5 will get the V6 3.0Tfsi engine.
