RS4 too, ridiculously expensive new.

If Audi hopes to overtake BMW, they need to UNDERCUT the M brand in price. They can hold their own on performance now, but as the new kid challending the reigning king, they should price everything RS 10% lower than everything M.

Audi will then sell so many RS cars in the U.S. that their heads will spin.
that has always been a problem with Audi, however the new S4's price is a step in the right direction. Granted they took away many options that would normally come standard.

given that the MSRP on my A3 was over 50k (dont worry, i got a nice cash purchase discount ), i can see the RS3 easily touching 60k. At that price, it just will not sell.

Overpriced? Meh. My RS4 was worth every nickel. At least Audi sells the cars loaded, unlike Porsche and BMW. I'd guess the RS3 would come in around $45K. For that, I'd definitely get one for the wife. As it stands, I think she's going for a 7-speed S4 or the TT-RS if it comes in S-Tronic.

If the RS3 can be had for 45K, Audi will have people lined up around the dealership block to buy them.

And I will be one of them. Especcally if I van get Papaya orange.

Hopefully it isn't too expensive, I think anything over 45K starting is high. Isn't the A3 getting a little old as well.

Let me check with my buddy at AoA. If it's not coming at all, he'll know that as well. I came up with my $45K figure from another rag complaining that it was the same price as a basic S4. Hence, $45K.

Wish Audis were that cheap here. The S4 I priced out cost just under $60k. Nonetheless, this looks like an awesome car. Perfect for ski trips
