mercedes benz's sales are high because they have really great lease incentives.

i was a car salesman (i worked for audi for 2.5 years, and mercedes benz for 3 months, then went on to exotics). when iw as working at audi, i would have tons of mercedes/bmw clients who wanted an a8/a6 but they genuinely couldnt afford paying 30-50% more per month on a similarly priced car (msrp)

most people lease (atleast here in nyc). most people are broke and want to make it look as if...

audi clients were on a different level.

I'd take the new A8 over the S-Class any day of he week, any day! As for cabs, every car service in NYC uses S-Class's now!

The masses believe that once you make it, you have to own an S class. This has lead to the exclusivity of the S class taking a huge hit. Here in Chicago for instance, I know plenty of pretend ballers who buy used S classes to show they've "arrived". F that, I would rather drive an A8 because fewer people drive them so in my eyes that is the exclusive car

S65 is a damn beast though, but as stated earlier, that is a different level all together

Did i read that a s65 is just an S class? HAHAHAH yes one that is double the price with a "bodylift"... Anyway, both the S Class and the A8 are beautiful cars, it's very similar to the Ferrari vs Lambo argument.... Guess what, if you own either YOU WIN!

Someone at my building has the new A8, I have seen it often here. As far as seeing it on the road, I haven't seen not 1! I see S classes everywhere I go and I'm sick of seeing them. They're gorgeous cars of course but the S class is not for me. I would take the A8 out of THOSE 2. Now if we were talking about a large sedan in general, I have to pick the new 7. The new 7 to me is just amazing, I really like that car.

My father had two S classes, and both times I would've taken a A8 over.

Exterior-wise I think the D3 is much more attractive than the D4, but interior-wise it's no contest.

And secondly - every fvcking cab when I was in France was a S class. Cannot say I saw one Audi cab.

Don't get me wrong, I like the S classes a lot, but they scream nouveau riche.

I think cabs are S-Classes because they are seen as "the top car" and will help their business, as a taxi driver. Give the occupants the best. Too bad that has a residual effect on the actual owners. But the taxi cars are probably S350s at best.
