Its a step backwards in Design, the previous S8 Audi is perfect except for its performance.

Also, S8 competes with S63, not S65. The S8 variant of the current model hasn't come out yet.
V12 TT is king. No one should get near that beast, but then it's 200k. Not an apples to apples comparison here.

I am getting disappointed over and over again with Mercedes though. The quality and design is just very disappointing. <2000 is when that brand used to shine.

 

I am not disappointed with the current W221 S-class its much better than the previous one and I still think its the best executive's sedan. The 1999-2005 model was a disappointment, I hate the W220.

@ shc. So u are saying that Audi has the douchier commercials and mb has the douchier owners? I have seen Audi, BMW, and mb taxis... Also, s8 isn't meant to compete with a 65.

 

Oops. I didn't see there was a page 2. iPhone thread fail. Audi rs sums it up nice except the part about 2000 mb cars. I would say 1993-2006 were to me the worst mb cars.

 

the guy with the s65.... first off... understand that the s65 is probably the most baller car, second to a bentley arnage..

however, with respect to the standard S class, and the s63... they are in no way shape or form a match for the audi a8.

its actually the other way around, S classes are taxi's in europe.
however, you own an s65, which means you are literally on a whole different level....

im not being sarcastic either.
