Congratulations to Audi on placing 1,2,3 in the 24 hours of LeMans.

 

Like it was said across media outlets, it was Peugeots race to lose. Audi proved once again that engineering, pit practice, and perserverance are what matters after 24 hrs. A great day for Audi

Outstanding job by Audi. All 3 R15's ran the 24 without any major mechanical problems. Now we know why the Peugeots were so fast all week-they clearly had their engines overworked to compensate for the speed Audi obtained with the R15 Plus program. Peugeot was clearly concerned with one thing only-speed. This proved to be fatal for them over the long run, and Audi said from the start that their plan was for efficiency which is what they achieved.
