Skool me on the new A4

Good advice. I tend to be a bit impulsive with my purchases. As I said, I'm in no rush, so I prolly just wait it out a bit. Although I also stopped at the BMW dealer next door to the Audi stealer. Only one 6spd 335 on the lot. 07, grey, 45K miles. Paint looked like shit. Gouges in the rear bumper, dent in the passenger rear door, fine scratches all over the hood and rock chips galore on the front bumper. And the SA tried to convince me that lease returns, this on in particular, are usually in good shape...gimme a break.
best of luck on your search though. I'm holding out on a similarly rare car (e39 touring with manual transmission in any colour but silver with miles under 100k)

Anyway, I agree re: waiting for the right 335i. Supply should continue to increase as '07 - '08 cars come off lease and often find their way to auction and private dealers (i.e. not to a dealer lot, where you'll see the exorbitant asking prices).
I'll keep my eye out.

After seeing the work some of the detailer's do to cars, I wouldn't let paint be that huge a factor. Sure, you can judge a lot about a cars history by the paint, but I wouldn't rule it out completely.

GL on that search. E39 tourings are a rare enough bird. But a 6 speed? Yikes

Generally, the service folks are the types that marry their sisters. They tend to be retards.

While the prices are jacked up on the dealer lots, that's probably where I'll restrict most of my search seeing as I want to trade in my Mini and not deal with a private sale and getting it CPO'd is much easier if already done by the stealer (as opposed to trying to get one done on a private party sale). And thanks!

We'd be more interested in a face-lifted 528it, or 525it most likely.

Found this 335i that seems like something you may like...

But looks great nonetheless. Now if it only came CPO'd and few thousand cheaper, I'd be all over it like white on rice. Will keep it in mind. Thanks for the link.
