Try that Chevy Nova in the parking lot of your local 7/11 if there's 10" of snow and we'll see what's what cowboy.

Yep, my point exactly. I mean, don't get me wrong. AWD is better. But hell, where I live it looks worse than that at least 3 months out of the year and I've commuted in some freakin nasty weather driving cars so awful they should be (or were) illegal . . .

E46 BMW's, M3's included drive perfectly in the snow. With snow tires off course.

I am really wondering how snow got on top of the valve covers.
If it was ice, it makes sense, but snow? How?

I thought there were slits or cuts made it the rear glass for excess heat to escape, no?

Any R8 owners in here?

That is not the world's biggest blizzard!!! It's exactly the weather we had yesterday, and everyone calls it "quite nice".

Good vid.

it is all about tires and driver. The R8 would be a piece-o-cake in the snow with proper rubber and throttle control. The only way the car would be hindered is with crazy amounts of snow and in that case no one should be driving.

I have driven many sports cars threw some crazy winters and it is very entertaining, try it and you will like it. I sell sports cars and my customers are always impressed after a snow fall with a proper winter setup.

A quattro with snow tires driving in the snow, nothing new. Maybe that times writer should have watched this before making it seem like it is the best thing since sliced bread and canned beer.
