Surely there are people who will pay that, just to pad their egos and have the first one around. But, before you know it they will be dealing on this car.

In the Silicon Valley toys are what people buy and there are plenty of people out here that would buy it just to say they have the first one. This isn't Michigan, Vegas, Florida or AZ. Wealth out here is a whole different league. Median price homes in certain areas are still over $1M-$2M.

I'm not sure it's as much wealth as culture and ego.

LOL...that car (R8 platform) had its moment...now it is fading away as with so many other dated designs...

thats almost as good as when bmw of BH put a 100% market adjustment on the alpina Z8.

there is a ton of money in south bay, and i dont think the culture is so much in-your-face. it's definitely not like LA in that sense. v10 is not different enough from the v8, nor is black flashy enough for those people. it's silicon valley, not silicone valley... hehe
