S5 Content: Non-resonated Milltek Exhaust Installation

Big thanks to Knick (MTK) for the lead and Lupe for the install...after a few tweaks, we finally got the exhaust note to a happier place.

The Milltek exhaust out-of-the-box sounds pretty much stock...sadly and disappointingly, but nothing some minor tweaks didn't cure. The size of the tips though, filled up the openings on the rear valence very nicely. To address the "stock-sounding-note", the resonators were sawed off and replaced with straight pipes...now the V8 growl is noticeably deeper and punchier and my initial frown has transformed into a grin. There is no droning in the cabin, though sometimes at low rpm, the deep bass rumbles through...which was music to my ears, and welcomed and made me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Here are some shots of the stock equipment:

After some fireworks, the resonators were gone.

While the car was up in the air, I took the opportunity to get my hands dirty and do some DIY installations of some xenon-match foglights...they now match spot on to my xenon low beams and DLR LEDs

Once the weather clears up...it's time for a nice bath. She's dirty as hell.

vodkarocket is an unknown quantity at this point
Leave it to Milltek to create some of the nicest looking hardware without any increase in performance/sound.

Looks like a high quality job, where is this shop located? My buddy wants to fab up a turbo-back exhaust for his R56 MCS.
