This car is built for FIA GT3 in Europe. There's no GT3 class in ALMS and the car doesn't fit in GT2 as it is too slow.

Got it. I assumed by the name "R8 LMS" that it was intended for that series. Maybe I should read a little more up on that before I post next time

Mini, I'm confused here. If the 997RSR's are running 450HP with RWD and the R8 is quoted over 500HP RWD, how would this car be too slow for GT2 in ALMS? I haven't seen any official numbers posted on this car yet so do we even know how fast it really is. The FIA GT3 seems to have some pretty fast cars in that class right?

Just what I read...Cars in FIA include Gallardos, Cup S's, among others and those would be too slow to run in GT2 so I dunno. Bottom line, it wont be here...

Well we know its not coming to ALMS, but I just can't believe it to be that slow...

I'd love to see one compete in the LM GT2 category, I'm sure with a few tweeks it could compete with the M3 GT2, 997RSR, and 430 GT.
