I think the most reliable information a few people (including me) have received from their local Audi dealerships is that the RS5 will be announced in the first half of 2010 and deliveries will begin in the second half of 2010.

In terms of design, It's fair to assume that the RS5 will share similar styling details to those on the just-announced TT RS.

Thanks for the information. I was hoping Audi was do an official announcement this year... really has been killing me, waiting for this monster. Can't wait to finally see official pics of it.

The mag who Photshopped the RS5 was 'car'

As much as I like their interpretation, I can't see Audi making a silver mesh grill or a moving rear spoiler. I do however think the bulging guards and rear valence will be similar.

From this test mule the only think I'd take seriously is the front grill/bumper/spoiler, the rest of the exterior is stock S5

You can also look at the new TT RS for hints of design details, e.g. front grill/bumper/spoiler, the use of mesh in the rear valence and maybe (I hope not) a rear wing?
