Well it does look quite a bit more Signal than Speed. It must be the pics. It's often hard to tell the difference in yellows. Here's a few comparisons:

^I think it's the lighting. The R8 falls right in between the 993 and CGT.

That car is Signal Yellow. Speed Yellow is more of a pastel color.

That might be one of the best looking cars I've seen in a very long while. 2009 and onwards is definitely the year of the yellow car. Always looked cheap imho but this year I'm crazy about yellow...
