If you must get an R8, get a dark color with the red interior and all the carbon fiber bits. And get a manual transmission!

I'd go with Suzuka grey exterior and titanium wheels. With either tan/brown or black interior. Suzuka grey doesn't photograph well but looks absolutely stunning in person...

I will fully agree with Chris here though - the manual is the far superior choice both in terms of engagement and looks.

In terms of the sideblade make sure you opt for a contrasting colour or material. Body coloured side blades don't to the car any favours as the blade is actually there to distract from the otherwise long horisontal lines. It's a quite long car and the vertical cut from the side blades help scale it better.

Suzuka grey:

Not bad - I'm a big fan of Suzuka Gray on the S8 and RS4, but I never expected to like it on the R8. Still say get the CF sideblade and the CF interior/engine bits. Oh, and order with the anthracite wheels...

The R8 is a winner in my book, the car is really growing on me.
